Strategic Planning Meeting

The first team meeting for SSPRPA'S Strategic
Planning Committee went very well. The meeting
was held at Romeoville Recreation Department on
Wednesday, August 25th. It was a very productive
meeting in which a SWOT Analysis was completed. We
had 14 members and Ron Dodd as our Facilitator. The
committee is diverse, consisting of a variety of
agencies and staff positions. This was very helpful in
providing multiple points of view, resulting in a wide variety
of input. Each person contributed multiple answers for each
of the 4 areas in the SWOT Analysis. All input for each topic
was complied together. Then, each person ranked their top 4
priorities in each category. Points were assigned to all of the
votes in each topic area and were then calculated. This process
allowed us to come up with the top 5 priorities in each area.

Listed below are the results of the Top 5 Priorities for each area, as indicated in the
meeting. Keep in mind when viewing the attachment, it only lists the top 5 priorities
for each area. There were many other ideas shared in the process, however, we
felt prioritizing and coming up with the top 5 for each area was a good starting
point.

We have a good sampling of the membership on the committee, however, there
may have been someone that had input they wanted to contribute, but could not
commit to the process. Now is your last chance. If you have any thought(s) you
would like to share for one of the 4 SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity &
threat) areas, you can send an email by Friday, September 3rd to Erin Lynch at
erinctrs@aol.com. Your input is welcome, and will be included with all the other
data gathered at the meeting.
