Park & Recreation Board Member… Community Leader Dinner Sponsored in Part by Recreation Concepts, Inc. To: Director of Parks and Recreation It is that time of year again to join your South Suburban peers for our annual Legislative/Park and Recreation Board Member Community Leader Dinner on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, 8:00pm (immediately after the IAPD Legislative Reception) at the Inn At 835 Historic Hotel, 835 South Second Street, Springfield, Illinois. Last year the dinner had over 70 SSPRPA members and legislators in attendance…we're hoping for a larger turnout this year. RESERVATION INFORMATION: Click HERE for the registration form for dinner on April 27. Please send your dinner reservations and payment of $40.00 per person payable to SSPRPA to: John W. Wilson, Lan-Oak Park District, 17551 Chicago Avenue, Lansing, Illinois 60438. The deadline for dinner reservations is April 19, 2010. PARK BOARD MEMBER-YEARS OF SERVICE: If you have a Park Board Member that has served consecutively for 5, 10, 15, 20 and/or 25 years or more, please either fax (708-474-7856) or e-mail (jwilson@lanoakparkdistrict.org) their name, the agency, and years of service to John Wilson. We will present them with a certificate at the dinner in Springfield. If you are not planning to be in Springfield, give us the information and we will mail the certificate to you to present at the local level. The deadline for this information is April 19, 2010. LEGISLATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD: Click HERE to view the criteria for nominating your local legislator for the South Suburban Park & Recreation Professional Association - Legislator of the Year. Questions should be directed to John Curran at the Tinley Park Park District. The deadline for nominations is March 12, 2010.
