Park & Recreation Board Member… Community Leader Dinner Sponsored in Part by Recreation Concepts, Inc. To: Director of Parks and Recreation It is that time of year again to join your South Suburban peers for our annual Legislative/Park and Recreation Board Member Community Leader Dinner on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at 8:00pm at the GOVERNOR'S MANSION, 410 East Jackson, Springfield, Illinois. Last year the dinner had over 80 SSPRPA professionals, board members and legislators in attendance…we're hoping for a larger turnout this year since the event will be held in the Governor's Mansion. Please invite your local legislator(s) to this dinner! This is another great way to network with your legislator and other park & recreation agency members of the south suburban region. PARK BOARD MEMBER-YEARS OF SERVICE: Want to recognize your Park Board member that has served consecutively for 5, 10, 15, 20 and/or 25 years or more? In the near future you will be receiving the SSPRPA Awards Recognition booklet. Information and the registration form to nominate your tenured Park Board member will be in this booklet. The deadline for this information is March 11, 2011. LEGISLATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD: Want to nominate your legislator for this award? Again, in the near future you will be receiving the SSPRPA Awards Recognition booklet. Information on the nomination criteria and the registration form for Legislator of the Year Award will be in this booklet. The deadline for nominations is March 11, 2011.
